Ooh a novel of St. Monica, I would be here for that!

Right?? I need more novels based on mothers of famous men in Christian history.

I'm pondering a novel about motherhood, and this sends my thoughts in a whole new direction!

We just hired Katie Vidmar at Natural Womanhood (for many reasons, but also) to help us make the case for body-literacy-as-the-ultimate-abortion-disruptor on a national level. Pray for us, please!

Incredible! She broke it down so well in her talk, and the work she's doing is such a needed piece of the puzzle. Great news you were able to bring her on.

The ‘Go Slow and Repair Things’ article was such a fascinating read. I want to find that plenary address now.

I seriously can't get the phrase out of my head...! Just brilliant as far as a Christian posture toward renewal of most everything is concerned.

(And same here about the plenary address.)

Thank you. Lots of beauty and hope contained here, and your “unfiltered thoughts” section gave me plenty to think on. Loved Hadden’s essay and can’t help but notice the similarity between his work and that of Christ’s undershepherds in these very days. Thanks for blessing us with your virtue of intellectual curiosity, or maybe it’s just humility? God bless your week!

"Unfiltered Thoughts" could be it's own new section. haha I am trying to experiment with mini essays. I have thoughts on things as they come up, but I don't like the commitment or pressure of turning it into a whole essay. (Can you tell I'm a recovering all-or-nothing person? This comes up in more places than one in my life... it's not always very helpful... and I need to get over it!)

Hadden's writing is a staple in my online reading. My husband and I got to meet and hang out with him (and Dixie Dillon Lane) for a bit after the aforementioned conference a year a half ago. He came all the way across the ocean! It's fun and very reassuring when people you "know" from their written words are kind of exactly as you expect them to be in real life.

And thanks for the kind words.

Mini-essays seem very suitable to your newsletter and life stage. Also to the all-or-nothing recovery, to which I can definitely relate. Keep it up! Accepting slow and steady, or earnest but imperfect, is an exercise in humility that I have often struggled in, but I’m trying to better see these works through God’s eyes. May He grant you the same.

That’s so fun that you got to meet up. I’ve appreciated his writing every time I come across it, so thank you for sharing that story.

I am quite sure that cover art is one of the more obscure ones, but as I was hunting for one..... it was my absolute fav.
