Thanks!! Sometimes I forget not everyone is swimming in this kind of knowledge, information, and support…. so every little bit to further the dignity of women helps.
I do this constantly. My husband has a quote of mine saved in his phone (we each have a notes section for this purpose...it is a good laugh anytime we read the lists of funny things the other has said) that says something along the lines of "apparently 99 tabs is the most you can have open at one time on my phone" 🤣
And do feel free to add anything helpful. I’m especially interested in adding to my reservoir of theology reading and I think you had recommended some on a post of Ambers? I can go back and see but the comments can be used to share if people want. :)
I’m not sure if you’d be interested in this one, too — it’s a devotional through pregnancy, by an Orthodox Christian doula, daughter of an Anglican minister, and mother of 4.
Two more books I would suggest for physiology (based on my knowledge of these women’s work over the last decade) are Beyond the Pill by Jolene Brighten and Period Repair Manual by Lara Briden. Dr. Brighten also has a book specifically about healing postpartum. They are my go-to smart ladies for all things female hormone (you might see a few more links to their stuff in next week’s article!)
Haley, this is the most amazing compendium— I am bug-eyed over it, and so thankful to you for doing the amount of work, making the inevitable sacrifices required, to create it. God bless you! May all the seeds of ideas being scattered abroad by your labors find good soil in which to sprout and bear good fruit.
What a fabulous resource!! Thanks for all of your work compiling this. I've been playing around with the idea of starting a regular round-up post with reading recs, but you already do such an amazing job that I'm not sure if I'd just be duplicating what you already do!
This is incredible, Haley!

Another teaspoon into the ocean.
Or, perhaps an entire tide shifting in one person’s life. You never know.
Thank you so much for this list. I’ve enjoyed browsing it and will keep coming back! I also appreciate the reading recommendations in the comments.
Wondering if you saw this post? https://contemplatingconversion.substack.com/p/a-gateway-drug-to-catholicism
Made me think of you, not re: Catholicism but the PWA video she links to about contraception is really eye-opening. I learned a lot.
Oh yeah. I covertly save tabs as they cross my eyeballs, and this one was no exception. Have not read completely yet.
Thanks for sending it!

I’m excited to dive into the book recs, slowly and over time :)

Yes!! I think the most relevant to this list is Theology of the Womb by Christy Bauman.
Theology of the Womb is one my TBR list (which I didn’t include. lol)
I just ordered this last week!😍
Ooh, awesome! I’d love to hear your take on it. (I think you’ll love it 😁)
Oh man I’m pumped to read it. I came across it in research for a freelance assignment!

Fertile Ground by Laura Janssen
You’ve probably heard of Frederica Mathewes-Green, too . . . This one is on my TBR

These look great, thanks Catie.
My pleasure, thank YOU! So encouraging to connect with people here over shared passions.

Yes!!! I’ve seen those but didn’t want to put my entire TBR list on here. So thank you for these specific suggestions.
What a brilliant resource I will be most certainly coming back to Haley! ♥️

🙌🏼🙌🏼 Love this Haley and thank you for including my tiny little essay/rant! I’ll be pointing people here!
